Winter Of Discontent
My winter of discontent has begun today when it dawned with a definite chill in the air, compared to the last few days which have been mild and sunny. Alas, winter was due and has arrived. So that explains the “winter” part. The “discontent” part will be when I have to go out and vote later this morning to help re-elect one of the worst governments since Federation. When I say re-elect I don’t mean I’m going to literally vote for this cabal of leftist morons (the Labor Party), but they will receive my vote anyway through our disgusting preferential voting system.
In their last term in office, the cabal of leftist morons spent $365 million on a referendum about whether to change the Constitution to recognise the First Peoples of Australia by establishing a body called the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Voice. The government campaigned hard for the “yes” vote but the public rejected it because it would have created more division between the white and aboriginal population. Nevertheless, a Labor government spokesperson has stated that if Labor wins another term, the Voice campaign will be given another shot.
During the last three years under this “government”, food prices have skyrocketed, the price of petrol and fuel have gone through the ceiling, and the general cost of living has climbed substantially. The electricity supply has been cut off to many homes because families can’t afford the exorbitant cost of renewable energy. Buying a home has become out of reach for many young Australians and renting somewhere to live is proving impossible.
To be honest, my winter of discontent began three winters ago when this socialist government first came to “power”.
Update:
Australia has fallen. Labor has won in a landslide My winter of discontent is complete. Where we’ll be in three years under this cabal of leftist morons is anyone’s guess. Most likely sitting in the dark like Spain and Portugal.
